Dear friends,

An earthquake that measured 7.0 hit Haiti very hard this afternoon.  We were just finishing our work day here at Bethel at 16h53 when the construction office container we were in started shaking from side to side.  We heard a series of loud banging sounds one after another.  After running out on the grass, the tremors continued for several minutes.  All members of the Bethel family and the 24 students in the Ministerial Training School are safe and sound, but we fear for our brothers and sisters throughout the city of Port-au-Prince and the towns that were hit hard.
